This is my most recent cake. It is an apple berry cake with buttercream frosting and cream cheese fondant. The green smoke was made with Wilton green candy melts and the character was made of gumpaste and handed painted with edible color. The original picture and painted character are pictured below.
The recipe was my own and the first time I have ever made it. The subtle flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon went well with the tart apples, strawberries, and blackberries.
Overall, I was very pleased with the results. This was made for a co-worker. I know apples and Maleficent don't go together, but that was their request.
